Dear Prospective Sponsor,
We would like to thank you for your time and interest in considering sponsorship of the V Town Derby Dames (VTDD). As a league, we will be embarking on celebrating our 5th season as a team playing under the standardized rules of the Women’s Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA). We currently have over 45 registered skaters and several referees and support staff. VTDD is a league formed of talented, community minded and diverse skaters who are committed to excellence both on and off the track.
We maintain pride in our community through sportsmanship and self-discipline. The purpose of a roller derby team in the community is to provide women with the opportunity to stay healthy through involvement with the sport while also being actively involved with giving back to the community they live in. VTDD volunteers at events throughout the Visalia and the surrounding communities. We also donate funds to charity organizations serving these communities.
In order for our league to be successful and to continue the sport of women’s roller derby in our city, we are looking for financial support from individuals and businesses. We rely on donations and sponsorships to cover various expenses that include; venue rental (both practice and game), uniforms, league participation fees, travel costs, advertising and printing. We host many fundraisers to help cover these costs, however, in the long run it is not enough. To help our sport become a long-term endeavor we must seek other financial assistance from businesses and individuals like you.
